Be Confident!

Psalm 69:1-5 1 Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. 2 I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me. 3 I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God. 4 Those who hate me without reason outnumber the hairs of my head; many are my enemies without cause, those who seek to destroy me. I am forced to restore what I did not steal. 5 You know my folly, O God; my guilt is not hidden from you.

You know it might seem like dark stormy weather in your life today and you might feel like you’ll never see the light of day again; be confident.

Be confident because your deliverer is on His way. That’s right. Be confident.

When you feel that everything you have is going down the drain; be confident.
When the circumstances in your life are closing in on you, be confident.
When you feel like you have been taken advantage of, be confident.
When you can’t see the end of debt or mess you’re in, be confident.
When you are hurting and suffering and the people you call family and friends can’t help you, be confident.

Be confident that the Lord will see you through that situation.

Just like you, I have experienced those same types of challenges. Let me tell you, you are not alone.

We should not be surprised that these circumstances come into our lives. We should expect them. God’s Word tells us to expect it.

John 16:33In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

We find that even King David experienced trial on top of trial and then more trials. Just like he learned, we too have to learn to be confident in God no matter what and to keep our eyes fixed on Him.

Psalm 27:1 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

We need to trust in the Lord, depend on His goodness, believe in His Word and not doubt when the trials come in like a flood. And they will come.

Remember you have the power of life and death.

Proverbs 18:21 21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

You have to, purposefully choose carefully what will come out of your mouth during the situations in your lives. It is easy to be afraid during a hurricane, a storm, flood, trial or situation. It’s easy and almost natural to complain about this and that, to talk about all that is wrong and staring you in the face today.

Although that may be the natural thing, but as a child of God, the right thing to do is to speak what God says about the situation, to praise Him for what we have and what we do not have. The right thing to do for a believer is to use the power God has given you…it’s in your mouth, it’s near you, even in your heart and you need to let it overflow up and out of your mouth. It’s time you rise up above the situation.

Isaiah 55:11 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Our confession should be…

Psalm 23:4 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Simply put, with God we are well protected, we are set free and nothing shall harm us. Nothing can stop us. HALLELUJAH!

Our actions should be to stop seeking for an answer to our questions and situations but to start seeking more of the Lord who is the answer.

Psalm 27:4 4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Let me ask you this…
What have you been seeking lately?
What have you been focused on today?
What is taking up your time with God?

I want to encourage you to be confident of this: You will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (that means today). So wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart. Praise Him, sing a new song and give Him shouts of joy and victory for your deliverer is on his way.

May God bless you,

The Battlefield

Face it; we all have issues, struggles and different circumstances in our lives that we must deal with daily. These battles eventually affect the condition of our heart, our mind and ultimately attack our faith.

Before long with all these battles we get to the point where we lose sight of our goals, our plans, and our dreams. We let the battle in our minds get us to the point where our hope becomes faded, our sight of victory is dimmed, and the blessings we prayed for is blown away like the wind.

Our mind is now so full of distracting thoughts, and stresses that our sight is fixed on the negative issues and different situations. That kind of battle leads to wrong thinking. You need to know that when wrong thinking sets in, depression is not far behind.

These wrong thoughts give the enemy access to your mind and something to work with. Satan will use your wrong thinking to lead you into wrongdoing (sin) and making wrong decisions.

Genesis 4:7 But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."

Focusing on his lies prevents you from staying focused on the truth which is the Word of God.

Have you ever struggled with faith before?

Let me tell you the battles in life can affect the way you speak, the way you think, the way you adore things, the way you stand-up against temptation, and the way you look at life and the world around you.

The effect of this wrong thinking will give you feelings of confusion, anger, pain, and fear. This wrong thinking will ensue, a battle that will be a direct attack on your marriage, your children, your body, your finances, your relationship with others and the battle will attack your relationship with God. Your communication, interaction with others and with God will change. In the battle The Word of God in your heart will be stolen by the enemy unless you hold on and fight the good fight of faith.

Let’s face it we all go through these battles, you are not the only one. We have got to exercise our faith and strengthen our walk in Christ. We must know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are who God says that we are and that we have all, that He says that we have.

Know that if God said it then it is SO.

Know who you are in Christ:

You are a child of God, who is the King of Kings.
You are called for a purpose.
You are called for such a time as this.
You are called a King and a Priest, a Royal Priesthood.
You are called to have authority, dominion, and power.
You are an heir of God and joint-heir with Jesus Christ.
You are his beloved, His precious possession, His treasure.
You are just like Him.

Do you know who you are?

Pray this with me:

Father, reveal to me the point of my rebellion, show me the point where I have stop looking at You and have set my sights on the things of this world. Of those things important to me, show me Lord, what I place before you. Show me my excuses for not knowing you better. Show me where my faith needs strengthening. Allow me to walk through these battles and come out stronger in faith than I was before. Walk with me and teach me to strengthen my mind, guard my heart and watch my mouth. Help me fight the battles that can only be won by You. Help me to trust You more. Father, this is my prayer in the battle I am facing now. In His name Amen.

The Mountain

You hear the calling and the voice of God saying, “Come to ME!”

Exodus 19:20
20 The LORD descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up

-Exodus 24:12
12 The LORD said to Moses, "Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commands I have written for their instruction."

Like Moses, you have been called to an assignment; your assignment is to ascend to the mountain of God. That is your assignment. However, in the process of carrying out this assignment, this ascending or climbing to the mountain of God, you find that there are many obstacles on your path and people in your way telling you this and that. Now you’re facing new reasons and excuses to stop moving forward into your God ordained position. You’d rather camp out at the foot of the mountain.

You see that there are obstacles in the way and the climb is hard; it’s not easy. At times you feel like you’re getting nowhere or it seems like you’re walking in circles. You feel like there’s this big backpack on your back full of stuff (life’s issues, situations) and it’s holding you down. And if that is not enough then the enemy is attacking your footing (your faith) everything you are holding onto is coming apart…you want to hold on, but it would be easier to give up and just stop moving forward to the place God called you to be.

There’s a battle and the battle is in your mind, “If THIS was from God, surely the rough places would be made smooth and the crooked places made straight. Surely, if this was from God I would not have to battle so hard to get there, after all, the battle is not mine it’s the Lords. Surely, I must not be in God’s will so I am justified in not walking this way. Surely, this is not God calling me up this mountain. Maybe, I have taken the wrong path.”

Your flesh is beginning to rise. Doubt, worry, fear, and questioning God begin.

“Lord, what should I do? Is this the enemy or is this me?”

Galatians 5:17
17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

You know, God said He would never leave you nor forsake you, God said He is your ever present help in time of need; but do you believe Him?

-Psalm 121:1-2
I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Yes, the opposition is great. Yes, the enemy is out to deter you and distract you. The enemy is here to kill and destroy you. BUT GOD is using your struggle, today, to get you through to the next level. I want you to know your deliverer is on his way. Even when you feel that everything you have done has failed, I want you to know he’s on his way.

When you feel like you’ve been taken advantage of…He is on his way.

When you don’t see a way out…know that, He is the way out.

When you feel like you can not take another step forward…He is the way.

You’re deliverer is on his way.

He is HERE! God is here, Hallelujah!!!

Confess this!

-Psalm 18:2
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

1. The favor of God surrounds me and goes before me
2. The blessing of God are chasing me and overtaking me
3. God is supplying all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus
4. I don’t live under the curse of poverty, iniquity, infirmity
5. I’m healed by the stripes of Jesus.
6. Jesus has forgiven me of my sin.
7. I’m restored
8. I am strong in the Lord and the power of HIS might and I will climb the mountain of God as I have been called.
9. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

The time has come to let go of the past and the things of this world. Detach and release yourself from the things of this world and move up the mountain of God. The struggle you are having is making you stronger and moving you forward to where God is calling you to.

Get ready for your rightful place in the Kingdom of Heaven.

SHAKING IT LOOSE!

Today, you may find yourself facing unique situations unlike ever before. As a matter of fact, what you’re going thru is new, it’s different and the situations in your life seem out of place. You don’t understand it. Your mind and your emotions are running wild. You’re confused, not knowing what to do.

The storm that has hit your life has shaken you to the very core of your being. What you have experienced is a physical and emotional earthquake.

Psalm 109:23 I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.

The locust represents your sinful nature. Your sinful nature keeps trying to revive itself. It is getting in the way of your blessing, of your inheritance, your reward, your break thru, your deliverance, your healing and the desires of your heart.

When that locust, that sinful nature, is on you; you need to shake it off because it doesn’t belong there. Your sinful desire, that temptation, the issues that keep bringing up those thoughts, they don’t belong there.

Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Let me ask you, what is your mind set on today?

Let me tell you, God is shaking things (your sinful nature) loose. God is shaking it loose!

Hallelujah!

Your job, today, is to resist the enemy within.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

During this shaking God will reveal those places of offense, those things that grieve His Spirit (your disobedience, your anger, your pride, your hurts, your pain, your un-forgiveness). He will reveal your poor attitude (negative thoughts, double-mindedness worries and doubts) and moral issues (ethics, principles). He will show you the point of your rebellion.

He’s shaking it loose because that is the process God is using to bring about a transformation in you. Why? Because, He is preparing you for kingdom work and The Kingdom of Heaven. Those things which are not allowed in Heaven must be shaken loose here on earth. He is shaking it loose because that’s the process you have to go through to get into where you need to be; at the right hand of God in Christ Jesus!

The shaking has overwhelmed you with fear and doubts. Now you have these confusing thoughts that are trying to lead you astray from the path God planned for you. You’ve gotten to the point that your doubt is causing you to murmur and complain and even question God.

You’re struggling with your faith.

Hebrews 11:1 Now, faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Just like you, King David, was overwhelmed too.

Psalm 13:1-2 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?

You find yourself walking around with no direction kind of like the children of Israel. You’re feeling angry and frustrated. You’re feeling unfulfilled and guilty because you wrongly responded to situations in your life and made bad decisions.

ENOUGH!!

It’s time to grow up now.

Stop the sinful nature of feeling trapped and down. Shake it off!! The past is behind you and it’s time to press forward and begin to make things right according to God’s Word.

Proverbs 11:6 The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the unfaithful are trapped by their evil desires.

It would benefit you to consider carefully the choices you are facing now based on what you love the most, the Word of God.

Psalm 119:127-128 Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold, and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.

It’s time you seek Him for wisdom and direction. Seek God, not man.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.

Isaiah 2:22 Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?

I have learned this, “Many times the most favorable option will not necessarily be the most logical according to your natural circumstances”. Follow the Holy Spirit that lives inside of you.

Trust that what God is shaking loose is not fitting for your use nor is it for you any longer. Let it go, let him go, let her go, whatever it is let it go!! Take your hands off and let God do his perfect work.

He’s shaking it loose to fulfill His purpose, His perfect will for your life. You might not understand why He does what He does, but like me you need to trust Him today.

You’re confession today should be, “He’s doing a new thing! To God be the Glory, Hallelujah!! “

May God bless you,

You are a Champion!

In life we will all experience some kind of trouble in one way or another. One day things seem fine, the next day things are out of control. Just when you thought everything was alright the devil causes havoc in your marriage, in your finances, in your children, your car, at work, with relatives, you name it. If it’s not one thing it’s another. There’s always this fear of failure.

I’m here to tell you God has called you to be a winner. To become a winner, you must see yourself as a winner. You can’t hang on to past issues, past failures, or past mistakes.

Winner’s are not those who never fail, winners are those who never quit. Yes it’s tough, yeah, it’s rough. Failures and setbacks may occur, but the winner holds out for the goal, the winner holds out for their dreams and their plans.

Let me ask you: Are you a winner today? Or are you walking around defeated and conquered by the ways of this world. It’s time you rise up.

Exercise your power, your authority and dominion:

1. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13)
2. I can speak to my mountains and they must move (John 14:12)
3. I have the mind of Christ (Phil 2:5, 1 Cor 2:16)
4. I have been redeemed from every curse (Gal 3:13)
5. I am forgiven of all my sins (Eph 2:8)
6. I am a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 cor 3:16)
7. I am delivered from the powers of darkness (col 1:13)
8. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus (2 Peter 2:24)
9. I am free from the bondage of fear (Rom 8:15, 2 Tim 1:7)

As a child of the most High God I have the victory thus I am a winner. Hallelujah!!!

Remember that God will make a way, God will be faithful to you, God will speak to you, God will restore you.

May God bless you,

Digging through the Rubble

-Psalm 36:5 Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.

I want to share this story with you:

In 1989 an earthquake hit Armenia. Over 30K were killed. A father rushed to his son’s school and he found the building leveled. He was distraught. He then remembered the promise he had once made to his son; “No matter what, I’ll always be there for you.” But as he looked at the pile of debris the father felt defeated.

Remembering his son’s classroom was in the back right hand corner of the building he rushed to the spot and started digging through the mountain of rubble with his hands. The other heartbroken parents tried to pull him away, saying “It’s too late! They’re dead. Face reality!”

The father responded “Won’t you help me?” and continued removing one brick at a time while fires and explosions surrounded him. The fire chief tried to pull him away telling him of the danger and threat of fires and explosions. The father responded, “Won’t you help me?” and continued removing one brick at a time alone.

He dug for 8 hours, 12 hours, 36 hours. In the 40th hour he pulled back a boulder and heard his son’s voice….

He screamed, “ Armand!”

“Dad, it’s me” said the boy and continued, “ I told the other kids not to worry, if you were alive you save me.”

When the building collapsed, 13 other children had been trapped with Armand in a wedge-shaped space.

Like that boy you feel trapped also, you feel like you just experienced an earthquake in your life and you too have stuff coming down all around you. Now everything is buried and you can’t get out, you’re trapped by sin, by sickness, by debts and you’re being attacked on every side with different issues and circumstances.

You feel alone and it looks dark in your life, you’re wondering where is God through all this, and you start to wonder if God is even coming to help you.

You’re sitting in this wedge space contemplating what’s next: give up and sin or …?

Let me tell you where God is; while you’re trying to figure a way out of the mess you’re in, Jesus Christ is already on His way, Jesus is digging through the rubble of the situation you’re in right now making a way for you to get out.

You’re deliverer is on His way. Hold on!!

Be confident like that boy, he told his friends, “My daddy is alive and he’s coming for me.” Hallelujah!!!

You’re in the same wedge space buried by the challenges and sins of life. Are you buried so deep that God can’t get to you? No, you’re not. He’s not giving up on you. In the 40th hour Jesus will hear you prayers and break thru what seems the impossible. Glory to God!!

-God made you a promise:
1. Jeremiah 29:11 (plans for you)11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

2. Deuteronomy 28:12 (blessed) I shall live and not die, I am the head and not the tail, above and not beneath

3. Colossians 1:13 (deliver you) 13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,

4. Psalm 138:7 (comfort me) 7 Though, I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.

5. 1 John 5:13 (eternal life) 13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

6. Psalm 60:12 (victory over your enemies) 12With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.

7. Isaiah 54:17 (no weapon will prosper) 17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.

8. Psalm 71:20 (help in trouble) 20 Though, you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

Say: “I’m coming out”!!! Hallelujah!!!

Coming out of Egypt

In the Book of Exodus we find that the Israelites’ were bound by slavery to the Egyptians. They served the Egyptians hand and foot. The Israelites worked hard and were overwhelmed with a lot of things to do for their masters.

They lived in bondage they suffered oppression, domination, manipulation in every way. Their slavery was a life of mistreatment and abuse. They had no say in anything. There was no escape from the chains of slavery. They had a rough life. It was un-bearable. They were trapped.

You’re reading this today and you probably feel like you’re in similar situations. You feel like you’re the slave girl or slave boy working the docks with no hope in sight. You’re bound by credit cards, bills, a struggling marriage or relationships, stressed, job issues, you name it. You’ve just about had enough of it. The chains are getting heavier by the minute and you’re crying out to God for help.

I’ve come to tell you, “HOLD ON!” Your deliver is on His way. Hallelujah!!

-Exodus 3:8 (he‘s heard your cry)
8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

-Exodus 6:6-8 (God promises deliverance)
6 "Therefore, say to the Israelites: 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. 7 I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD.' "

-Exodus 12:31 (set free)
31 During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.

God is leading you out to a new place. He’s leading you to a place of increase, of change, of a better life. It’s called Canaan Land. Canaan Land has always been God’s symbol of your maximized potential. Canaan is the place where God’s promises are fulfilled in your life. Hallelujah!!

I want you to understand that Canaan is a land or place of promise where God wants you to live by faith today. There he will fulfill his promise in your life so you can reach your maximum potential.

God’s promises
-Psalm 138:7 (Help in trouble times)
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.

-Jeremiah 30:17 (to heal your sickness)
17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD,

-Isaiah 30:21 (guide you)
21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

-Ezekiel 36:27 (gave you the Holy Spirit)
27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

He promised He'll never leave you or forsake you and that you will have a long life, food and clothing, courage, hope, joy, peace, protection, success, wisdom.

Hallelujah!!!!

Now say, “I’m coming out of Egypt!”

May God bless you,

Go get It!

1 Samuel 30:1-3 David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it, 2 and had taken captive the women and all who were in it, both young and old. They killed none of them, but carried them off as they went on their way.
3 When David and his men came to Ziklag, they found it destroyed by fire and their wives and sons and daughters taken captive.

David, like you and I, has a lot on his mind at this point. He’s trying to balance life out because there’s a lot going on right now. It seems like he’s overwhelmed with stuff, issues, situations, problems, and battles. And in the mist of all this, now he has to deal with this new enemy that’s raided his home, his plans, and his dreams.

Sometimes it seems like just when you had it all figured out, you had the sure victory something new comes up. Things like past issues with new circumstances; it’s the same battle just in a different situation. Now you feel stressed and concerned. The enemy has come to undermine your position. The enemy and the situation your in has undermined your confidence.

1 Samuel 30:4-6 So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep. 5 David's two wives had been captured—Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel. 6 David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.

It’s time my brethren to rise up and shake off the stress, the negativity and the emotional oppression that comes with life’s challenges. You need to find strength from God today!

1 Samuel 30:6c But David found strength in the LORD his God.

Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Psalm 56:11 in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Do not be moved or lured into giving up your position of victory in Christ Jesus by your circumstance, issues, situations, problems, and battles. I’m here to tell you that God will direct your path.

1 Samuel 30:8 and David inquired of the LORD, "Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?" "Pursue them," he answered. "You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue."

Go Get It!! Go get your dreams, go get your desires of your heart. Don’t give up. Fight for your family, fight for your inheritance, fight for your blessing (peace, strength, healing,) fight the good fight of faith.

1 Samuel 30:17 David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled.

You will recover all that’s rightfully yours. Hallelujah!!

1 Samuel 30:18-19 David recovered everything the Amalekites had taken, including his two wives. 19 Nothing was missing: young or old, boy or girl, plunder or anything else they had taken. David brought everything back.

You know who you are and whose you are so go get it; go get your inheritance!!

May God bless you,
